I have this old lathe , I step on the brake petal to stop the engine and now it wont start back up,, can anyone tell what might have triped? or were to look for the repair? thanks

I have not been able to get the machine started again since I steped on the brake petal,, its like thier is no power to it at all now,, I must have triped something or maybe burned a fuse out some were thx.
