CCI #41 5.56 primers ok?

I have a huge pile of military CCI #41 5.56 primers. I have always used them in my .223 loads for all my AR's. Will they be acceptable to use in 300 Whisper or do I need regular small rifle primers?

#41's work fine for me in the AR, but very inconsistent in a Savage bolt rifle I had built. Switched to Fed 205's, and the Savage shoots great.
