Hi guy’s
I’m on a university course were we have access to a whole range of machinery, I was quite disappointed to discover that no tutors seem able to teach us the proper use of them! We are taught enough to cover their health and safety, then most students never use them again. I have been trying to teach my self to use the lathes, but any hints and tips would be greatly appreciated.
Ps. Power feeds have been disabled, and the tools are not very well looked after.

Many thanks, James

Thanks for the offer Bob, but i'm from the UK - a little bit far to come over to yours.

Such a shame I can't find people over here willing to teach me, even at a university!!

I've set my self a few projects and so far seem to be doing ok, but have no idea if i'm doing it the right way or not. I've read a hell of a lot, but thats not quite the same.

Join my Yahoo SB Lathe group and have a look around. Lots of good pics and info there. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/southbend10k/
I would love to come to the UK and show you some stuff. My great grandad was from there in 1634. Guess that was a few years ago...Bob
