I've just completed ordering my Noveske 16" and will be looking to sell the M1S barrel its replacing. So, my question is: with approx 200 rounds thru it for load development, what's the barrel worth? As a side note, I was not entirely sure of the threading of the M1S muzzle so I bought it w/o and later had it turned to 5/8" x 24.
(Aside from the economic definition of: worth is established by what someone is willing to pay; fair market value)
Thanks for the input in advance!

More info would be needed. What is the length? Does it include a gas block and tube? What position is the gas block in? Who threaded the barrel? What is the barrel diameter and profile?
Providing that info will help you get a good idea of the value.
Hope this helps

As I know it, Model1Sales only makes the one 16" CAR, 1:8", .750", chrome lined, with the gas port in the carbine position. The barrel threading was done by a local machinist. I'll include the new gas block that was included with it because I immediately swapped it in favor of a low-pro.
It may be a good idea just to reassemble on an upper and sell it. The only thing from the original purchase I'm keeping is the chrome bolt carrier assembly.
I'll take a look on gunbroker and see what they're going for!

Did you have to shorten the barrel when it was threaded? I believe that M1S come standard 1/2 x 36 so I am not sure how it can be threaded to 5/8 x 24 without shortening the barrel.

I chose it non-threaded with the target crown as opposed to the threaded muzzle, then had that threaded later. I was able to make sure that the crown was maintained (recessed) and then threading was done.
