I'm in the process of putting together a 300 in an AR15 platform. It will be an SBR with a 10.5" barrel. The gas block will be an adjustable .75 from tp555 in the pistol position. I want something relatively inexpensive (Daniel Defense is nice - but out for now). Something that will come just in front of the gas block, but still allow me access to it from the side. Any ideas? I know there are at least a few of you who have already encountered and solved this problem to your satisfaction.

The YHM light rail will fit over the block and puts an open port over the adjuster on my 16" bbl w rifle length forearm.
The YHMs are MUCH cheaper than the DD rails.
Hope that helps.

Thanks Mike. I'll take a look at the YHM. Maybe a mid-length will be the ticket for me.

I have a YHM handguard that may interest you. I am working on a SBR with a Noveske 10.5" barrel. Originally I planned to us a YHM-5005 which is a Smooth Rifle Forearm with top rail and forward rails at 3,6,9 o'clock, that I have. Today a rifle length V-TAC was offered to me so he could upgrade to a LaRue. If the rifle length is something that will work for you, I need to recover some cash to do the V-TAC setup. Let me know.
