It is a new Sako action with a Shilen 1 in 9 twist barrle and ready to fire form some brass. Now I hope it shoots as good as it looks.

by the way how would this compare to a 257 weatherby bvallistacilly? anyone got a graph showing how they differ at yardages or with energy?

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a192/deadasslast2004/Boba.jpg I am hoping this one likes the 115, 117 or 120 bullets. anyone got any load data for ne to start with on this one? I got the dies, brass and gonna try to do it this next 2 weeks or so. This mioght be the best $800.00 I have spent in a while......................

$800? Sounds quite nice I'd say... You mind detailing the price of assembly and where you got the parts?

300.00 action new from a friend, shilen barrel was 240.00 I believe, and assembly by Kevin Weaver for 225.00 and a friend told me about the stock on ebay for 60.00 about a year ago. took 2 years to get the parts and get assembled but I think it was worth the wait.

The long action makes a difference. My old AI was on a long action Ruger 77 MK1 and it gave some good velocities. On the short action Rem 700 I am running now, the depth the bullets need to be seated (especially the 115 Bergers) is too deep - just need a little bit more room in the AICS mags.
