Hello all,

I'm new to the forum and new to the caliber. I have a 10.5" 300Whisper upper for my AR in the works...and I'm hoping to finish it sometime soon. My biggest concern is the cycling with subsonic loads...and of course, accuracy. I have a big ass .30cal suppressor for it already and if everything goes as planned I'm soon the happiest shooter at the range. :D

Regards,
Kanttori

We are all wrestling with the subsonic cycling problems. This board isn't as active as AR15.com, but we do eventually respond

The suppressor should help with the cycling. Who's doing the 10.5 for you?

I would suggest using the pistol location for the gas port on the 10.5. You can always add a pig tail tube or AGT(adjustable gas tube), but if you don't have enough pressure you will be like the rest of us with Model 1 uppers trying to squeeze alittle extra out of our gas system to cycle.

Welcome aboard

Has anyone discussed with model 1 the thought they should use the pistol location instead of CAR location on the barrel?

And Yes I'm a new guy - and I haven't ordered all the parts yet (have a lower ready to go)
