I have a 16in bbl by TP555 (I think, Paladin Mach. Kershaw SC). The gun was built for subs but will it hurt anything to shoot supersonics in an AR with a pistol gas port?:confused:

No. You can shoot super sonic loads and things will be OK. You just will not be able to push them as hard as you could if you had a barrel with a carbine length gas system. In my experience, a set up with a gas port in the pistol position gives up about 30 to 60fps in velocity to a barrel with a gas port in the carbine position

You also might need an adjustable gas block.

I have tried it, and it will cycle - but it's not good. I can tell it's cycling way to hard, need to put an adjustable block on there before I shoot supersonic again.
