Well actually a couple of questions.
First, are you guys seeing greater bullet expansion with cast bullets from the .300 Whisper at subsonic velocities?
Second, I've heard that suppressors and cast bullets don't mix because of the lubes involved will gum up the works. Is this true? If so, are there any .30 cans that can be broken down and cleaned?
Thanks,
Paul

Best of my knowledge, no expansion at sub velocities with the cartridge at this time.
You could use a 9mm can if you'll be shooting subs only. The YHM Cobra M2 comes apart and would work fine with cast bullets.

Wow..........even with cast bullets?

Have been using 180's without the gas check in reverse ( semi Keith style ). No expansion, but nice round hole. Have heard they can cause a hard layer that is very hard to remove. I believe it is caused from the lead and not the lube. Have recovered bullets that the lube is still intact (sub not fast enough to melt, too hard of a lube???) Anyway - a lot of cast is bad for suppressors! Very seldom will I shoot more than 20 rds at a time. It is lubed up good and so far it has not been a problem with mine....If you get a take apart can-don't be too rough on the inside finish.....There has been 2 companies say they would have an expanding 30 cal. subsonic bullet out this summer...They will not be cheap! But I'll only use them for hunting...
