I'm going to try casting for my whisper, got a LBT mold fitted for my gun it shoots 210gr boat tail it will be shot strictly sub-sonics, if it all works well it will be better than trying to keep feeding it the 220SMK $$$$ LBT had moved the lube grooves/driving bands up into the neck of the cartridge and out of the case all in all its a pretty mold hope it works as well as it looks

Bolt gun or AR platform? If an AR, then watch out for leading up the gas port. I've not personally expierenced this, just reposting something I remember reading. YMMV.

Still, I'm interested in how it works out. Keep us posted.

Hmmmm I can see lead build up in a can with lead bullets.

I would not shoot cast bullets through a suppressor.

As interceptor mentioned, one of our past forum members shot cast bullets thru his AR, and then he had to unplug his gas port. That had to have been a HUGE HASSLE!!! I thought it was very thoughtful of him to advise us of this nightmare.

Lead in an suppressor - not good unless you can take apart to clean/bead blast -

Lead in a semi auto gas gun - Not good unless you want to detail and clean all the gas parts (delayed blow back seemed to work ok when I tried that in my HK 91)

hugginsville, any update on how the casts shoot? I'm anxious to try some myself if I can find a decent mold.
