Looks like the JP or Les Baer lightweight bolts, only so many ways to reinvent the wheel I suppose.

No, I've not tried it. Do have a JP lightweight with approx 7k rounds on it...

I was thinking that a lighter bolt would help for the short stroking
problem that some have with faster buning powders, smaller gasport hole and
subsonic loads.
I changed the buffer recoil spring to a wolff reduced power spring
to get stronger ejection of the brass and peace of mind in
100% cycle of sub loads.

Basically all the weight you can take off a BCA can be taken out of the buffer. I've gone as far as making Delrin buffers that weigh 1 OZ. If you get too light there isn't enough momentum to fully cycle even a normal AR.
It's a balance of spring power and mass that you need to find if you're having problems with your AR not cycling with a load that works in somebody elses similar configuration.
Your hammer spring and hammer mass may also play a part.

Easy and cheap way to remove mass from the equation is to lighten the buffer like a previous poster suggested. Simple way I've found to do it is to pull the weights and replace with 1/2" dia alum rod available at many hardware stores. Trick is to cut it to lengths like the existing weights and assemble bck in place with the little rubber waffers to reduce bounce.
