I'm pretty sure I saw this very same bayonet before on the web, as I bet the bayonet in the following picture is the one you have in your hands right now.

I think you're right Rex. I guess someone with an antique shop in Seattle must have purchased it and then Mr. Moon's friend found it.

Good discussion on the USMC M9-FT. It appears there were variations of this bayonet provided for the trials. My example is marked M9-FT USMC Lan-Cay on one side of the ricasso & blank on the other. Of particular note is the bayonet is finished in grey, (as were many of Lan-Cay's other M9 variants they tried to offer the USMC up to adoption of the Ontario OKC-S3) and there are no saw teeth.

I know of a total of three "FT" variations. I have one identical to that shown by Mr. Moon and one identical to that shown by pwcosol. I also have one like pwcosol's but with a saw back blade.

There were some bayonets that were sold on ebay and the ad stated that the Field Trials bayonets were marked "FT". The ad did not clearly say that the bayonet being sold did NOT have the "FT" marking. This is what you have shown on your website. The bayonet that pwcosol has shown has the same configuration as yours but is marked "FT".
