Corbin is making dies for a 218 gr bullet that expands at subsonic velocities.
There is a guy in Oregon that is planning on making a run of them soon, but my Whisper won't be here for two more months. Thought y'all might be interested. If you go to the Corbin (not Corbon) website and look up subsonic bullets you will find all the pics and the phone number of the guy who's going to make some.

Hmm...Interesting. I wonder if these will feed properly in an AR. If not, I may need to get my bolt rifle and contender earlier than scheduled.

Thanks for the info.

They have changed names, but they said that they would be contacting Corbin to get the supplies to do a run. At that point they could give me a good price.

I called, just to let them know that there are people interested in these. He's going to send me some samples (if he can find them). He asked that I keep checking back with him. He is planning to make a run eventually. I'm sure a couple phone calls from those who are interested wouldn't hurt

I was told that the bullets could be ordered next week. I can't wait to test them. The down side is the price. He has said that they will be around a dollar a piece.

WOW a buck a piece is way to much for an every day round- but still would be nice to try a few.

I don't think they are every day bullets, unless your hunting game that requires this expansion every day. more like a special purpose bullet.

I'm going to grab some. Yes, they're probably not your everyday bullet. But they can be an answer to those who doubt the .300 Whisper in terms of hunting.

I've read online and been told that the .300 Whisper is not a good caliber to hunt with due to the lack of bullet performance. Hopefully this bullet will perform as advertised.

Who's going to be the first one to shoot these through a suppressor?

SD and BC?
And Gel test? I am not sure that this will be much better than a 240gr SMK. I am thinking, it is going to take a couple inches before it expands and then I think it should start to tumble.
I have corbin gel and would be willing to test these bullets if no one else does it.

As far as $1 a bullet, I can not afford that right now.

I would be willing to test these on some wild hogs
