I recently purchase a milling Machine and now it's time to get something to hold my end mills etc with (the Jacobs chuck works for small cutters but is no good for anything larger than about 8mm)

spindle of machine is 3 morse taper with 1/2 " draw bars

I am looking at either 3mt collets or a Er32 collet chuck and collets.

what are ppl thought any thing esle I should be looking at, I'm trying to get out off this as cheaply as possible as the heat hasnt subsided yet from the mill purchase, if you know what I mean

you definately need to find either collets or endmill holders as the jacobs was never intended for the side loading the mill bits put on it. Your chuck will wear quickly and it will also allow the mill bits to come loose, move in and out in the chuck and wobble. That can destroy your work piece....and your bits. It will cost you more in the long run to use the wrong tool than it will to buy the proper tooling.

Not sure where to tell you to look for collets or holder. I don't know the newcastle area though I spent some time in the surfers/brisbane area.....I live in the US though.
I've used the ER type collet holders and they are pretty good for small work. The morse taper collet would be good too....
