Hi All, I really could use your help right now.
Have any of you purchased any of Mr. Davis' Brass?
Several weeks ago, I ordered 1000 rounds of the primed 300/221 brass. My last contact form him (2/24), was that he received my check and was mailing my order out on 2/27. As of today, I have neither received my order, nor have had any responses to my emails, requesting shipping information. I don't want to think the worst, so any response would be really appreciated. Thanks, Joe

Am I OK to send him money without getting a thumbs up from him first? I have his current prices. I wanted 1 or 2K to get me started. I have mailed him also with no response.

Sent you an email @ your addy. Don't blame you at all for holding shipment til the check cleared. I would have done the same thing. ' was just going on the info in your last email. You know how "us" kids get when we have a new toy and want to play with it. Look forward to getting the tracking number and the shipment. Thank you for responding. Joe

Guys, David Davis is a stand up guy, and delivers on what he promises. Remember, like the rest of us, he has a full time job and only does the .300 brass thing as a sideline and to help fellow shooters out. Yeah, he might not deliver as fast as YOU want him to, but he will deliver as fast as he can. Hell, the man even loaned me some of his personal property to help fix a problem I was having with my .300 last week.

Now that's a good man.

Hi All -

Mr. Davis - Thank You. Package arrived today.

To All - Thank you for your responses. I did not doubt, nor mean to infer anything negative about Mr. Davis. Just merely asking about your experience in dealing with his services. Now, I can add my experience to yours.

Anyone thinking about ordering brass from Mr. Davis should not hesitate. You will be completely satisfied with him and the brass.

Thank You All for your input.

Joe

I have often stated i only do this part time, as of late i have had family problems (old parents), with this all and the lack of understanding by a limited few, i will no longer produce 300 whisper for on deman orders, from now on i will limit my sells to ebay, i will produce and than sell at my own pace, i do have about 50,000 rounds, but my time is limited, I do have a couple orders outstanding that will be in the mail in the next couple of days and than if you want look for it on ebay, i also made and set up a set of dies to turn .223 into 6.5 mpc so again if you want any look for it on ebay.

What is your ebay user name? Is it "Keith_Davis"? If so, I think I can have ebay notify me when you put something up for sale.

I've been watching ebay, I keep seeing small lots (50rds) of 300 whisper for sale from several different sellers. I would rather purchase 1000 or so.

Thanks

I ordered 500 pieces of brass from David "Keith" Davis last month.

I did a PayPal transaction so that he wouldn't have to wait for a check to clear (I do the same so that I don't get burned). I placed my order on a Friday and a week later I had my 500 pieces of brass sitting on my doorstep.

Mr. Davis is a stand up guy. For a man who only does this part time, I think he does a terrific job!!!

What will we do if someone on this forum should really piss him off and he decides to no longer produce 300 Fireball brass?????  :nanabang:

My only regret is that I did not order 1000 pieces from him ..... I don't care if I would have to wait a month to receive my order ..... where else are you going to get good brass for a 300 Fireball!!!

darn just when I was going to order, mmm patience is a virtue. I sure would like to order a thousand, as long as I have them in the summer its fine for me, gives me time to shoot before deer season starts....

As my first post I don't really want to be considered one of those piling on Mr Davis, but I would really like to know the status of my order from 4/13/07. I have sent him three emails (5/22/07, 6/13/07, and 6/19/07) over the last two months with zero response from him. I didn't even know of this thread when I ordered (although I got his info from a different post on this board) and he accepted my money via Paypal without a problem. We had a brief initial exchange and I thought everything was square and then.............<crickets>.

If anyone here has any suggestions please let me know. Otherwise the only recourse that I am going to have left is to post my experience anywhere I think might get his attention. If I have to wait another month with some guaranteed shipping date that is fine. I just want either my money back or my brass (the preferable option).

Thanks.

I'm in the very same boat. I sent him $300 bank check a couple months ago and I have gotten no responses from him to my emails. At this point I'd just like to know he got the money and I'm in line. I may send him a letter and see if that works.

I am updating the classifieds on the site here and in the future I am going to require all items sold on the site to be posted in the classifieds. The classifieds has a feedback system. The feedback schore WILL show in user's profile VERY SOON (perhaps before anybody reads this if I am lucky)

If you have had problems with keith davis, you are welcome to use the feedback system inside the new classifieds:

http://www.quarterbore.net/forums/vbclassified.php?do=user&userid=196

or the direct page here:

http://www.quarterbore.net/forums/vbclassified.php?do=feedback&userid=196

Please be sure about the feedback you are leaving as I will NOT be editing it later! If a person deserves BAD feedback then give it to them. If they deserve good feedback then please do the same!

Oh yea, the classifieds are FREE to use... I would like to get some feedback on the new system as I coded this myself and I spent way too many months of my life coding it!

Nothing new to report other tahn Mr. Davis is taking money for 300/221 cases and not delivering. I communicated by e-mail and by phone. He had the cases and would gladly sell them.

I sent my payment by PayPal right away. I've been waiting for over a month. He doesn't answer e-mails and when you call him your told they have been shipped. I filed a complaint with PayPay.

BEWARE. He says he follows the Golden Rule. Unfortunately I don't believe him.!!

I finished my transaction with him and now after it is over I can say he made things right and his excuses for being late were well understood. He was deployed to Iraq and hit an IED for one. He could very well have been deployed again as a consultant. You may have to wait, but I would not worry about his honesty for a second. He is a great guy and a wealth of information. If you are in a big hurry just buy a Dillon .300 Whisper case trimmer from CH Tool and Die like myself and others have posted about. One pull from .223 to .300 and then a second pull to do a full resize and deprime.

I don't have a problem with delays it's the lack of communication with no response to emails.

Delays are understandable if you let folks know what's going on.

Just made a bunch of .300W brass for a local friend of mine here out of new .222 cases. Expensive way to go and I almost felt bad cutting them up, but he was willing to pay it to get some new cases and I like to have my tools pay for themselves......
