Hey Q. Your site has really grown since the last time I was here. Its been about 5 years since we last traded emails on the good ol' 300 whisper. At the time i was pumping you for info on barrel twists for 240 SMKs and load data and all sorts of stuff. At the time I was intending on a 1/8 twist douglass air guaged cut to 18 inches with an adjustable gas block and a Gemtech Bi-lock adapter for one of their TPR-S units.

Well long story short, I built the upper, bought a 500 pack of Rem. 221 brass, a bunch of high end redding dies, a 500 pack of 240 grn SMKs, etc. Got started fire forming some brass, and getting into it real serious, and then, BAM. I had a date with Al Quaeda in Fallujah for OIF2. After that it was Abu Zarqawi in Ramadi for OIF3, and now I'm finishing up with a short dance with Abu Saef with the 31st MEU out of Okinawa.... So as you can see the USMC has kept me busy for the past 4 years.

Anyways, I find myself married with kids and in need to letting some of my stuff go in order to keep other parts of my hobby. Do you think there would be any interest from your members in my 300 whisper project and or reloading gear?

I apologize if this isn't the correct forum to ask this in. I don't want to offend the Host.

Thankyou for the quick responses gentlemen.

I did forget to put in a vital bit of info concerning the whole deal though. I am still in Japan as of this moment and will not be home until mid december timeframe. I should be able to dig into my gun stuff late december to get photos and do a full inventory of everything.

Sorry for the mis-information. If anyone has any specific questions, I'll do my best to answer them.

1. Someone wanted me to clarify the Gemtech adapter I had installed on the barrel. I believe they call it a Bi-Lock adapter which is designed to accept the TPR-S suppressor by the same company. I never got that far with the project though. (no suppressor) The Bi-Lock still functions as a flash suppressor by legal definition. I started this project before the AWB went away.

As a foot note, by chance during my time in the Corps I was issued a rifle equiped with the TPR-S suppressor (bought on unit funds, not through the standard procurement) and can say its a good piece of gear. I never had anything to compare it too and we never had anything but supersonic ammo to shoot, but it definitly does make a difference. It is heavy to hump around though. The finish does wear on it and you have to keep it clean or it will try to rust on you.

FWIW, I am likewise real busy with work, kids, and other projects I started that have taken way too much of my time. The forums here are growing because of the excellent people that chose to come and share here!

Welcome back & thanks for what you do for our country!

I appreciate the thanks from everyone. Just as soon as I get back to Texas I'll get my stuff inventoried and get back to everyone who showed any interest.

Right now I am going through the joy of cleaning all my gear to get it ready for turn in.....What fun...
