I don't think anyone has a real solid idea as to how many of these were made. Lan-Cay made as many as they could sell, and if they were still in business I think they would still be making them.

What´s ´bout the quality of the single parts of this particular bayonet.
Are there differences between this commercial item and GI issued bayonets, made by LAN-CAY ?

Only the blade finish change.. USGI Black mat finish, your model is grey-finish.
That's all for this model that u had bought.
The steel is 420 modified ss (425 ss). Hardness is 53-56 Rc (hard) tempered and subzeroed.

There´re no GI-issued Lan-Cay M9 bayonets with grey finish ?

The first contract LanCay bayonets had the gray finish. The black oxide finish started with the second contract.
