I have read somewhere that the subsonic rounds like a little more distance from the rifle lands then normal. But I have been unable to find that information again. Anybody have info on this?.
I am shooting 220 gr SMK's for an AR15

I have been loading this bullet to the same oal as the 223. I just wanted them to fit the mag and feed properly. Since, the 220 gr SMK is a pretty lengthy bullet, take care and don't overpressurize your round by compressing the powder too much. Just go a little a time. Post your results. We all are looking for a more accurate round. Also, each chamber is cut a little different, and what is good for one barrel may not be good for another. Find the oal that your rifle likes. Thats one of the things that make reloading, as a general rule, more accurate.
